Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior

Representative from the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss understanding and responding to dementia-related behavior. Dementia is an overall term used to describe symptoms that impact memory, performance of daily activities, and communication abilities. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. This presentation will focus on several factors including:
• Identifying common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia
• Explaining the process for assessing and identifying challenging behaviors
• Providing strategies to address common dementia-related behaviors
