The Partnership for a Drug-Free NJ will present a session entitled, “Substance Abuse Prevention Parent Education Program.” Parents and caregivers who are concerned about children (of any age) and substance abuse are invited to attend this free, interactive, one-hour presentation. Research has shown that even in today’s society, parents are still the strongest influence in their children’s lives. Topics covered will include: talking to your kids about drugs and alcohol, the influence of media and pop culture, the effects of specific drugs, keeping children drug-free, strengthening parenting skills, and utilizing teachable moments. Participants will receive age specific information and communication skills concerning substance abuse.
