This is the third Photography Workshop presented in conjunction with the library's 10th Annual Photography Contest. Come and learn from professional photographer and speaker Danielle Austen about the Beauty of Black & White. Black & White photography creates a timeless quality to images. It is a creative choice as it can dramatically transform your image, but it can also help improve an image as it focuses more on the elements like tonal contrast, texture, shape, form and quality of light. It is suitable for almost any type of genre, like landscapes, portraits, architecture, still life and street photography. During the workshop we will discuss the principles of B&W Photography and why converting your images can be beneficial. Danielle will then demonstrate how to convert images using some of the most accessible post-processing software programs available.
Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant provided by New Jersey State Council on the Arts/a division of the Department of State.
Location: New Brunswick Public Library - 60 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
